Systems Engineer

Location: Sydney CBD, working in the office

Our client is a growing IT consultancy, who are dedicated to providing solutions, new technologies/processes and deliver exceptional service to their clients in Australia.

Due to growth plans they are seeking a Systems Engineer to join their collaborative team. This role involves a mix of business-as-usual (BAU) tasks and exciting project work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, servers, virtualization, and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage Azure virtual machines, VNETs, and backups
• Replace firewalls, manage SharePoint, virtual machines, and set up Azure Virtual Desktops.
• Research and analyse new security and compliance tools, providing clients with tailored solutions.
• Manage Windows servers, Linux machines, basic networking, and firewalls
• Act as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Follow change control processes and maintain a good relationship with key clients

Skills required:

• 3+ years of experience delivering project solutions to various clients
• Ability to run virtual machines, VNETs, and Azure Virtual Desktops.
• Experience with core networking, access points and firewalls
• Able to manage servers, virtual environments and Active Directory
• Familiarity with security tools such as SEIM
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create solutions quickly.
