The Role:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial operations while supporting the business through a pivotal period. This is a contract opportunity, ideal for an experienced professional who is immediately available and ready to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with statutory reporting and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within a multinational or large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Availability to start immediately and commit to the contract duration.
