Options Desk Assistant
The Options Desk Assistant will play a key role in supporting traders, managing administrative tasks, maintaining trade positions, and ensuring smooth communication between brokers, dealers, and internal teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a high-energy trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile trades, transactions, and positions to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and manage delivery instructions for proprietary trades.
- Maintain up-to-date trade positions, P&L reports, and facilitate efficient data exchange.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and operational standards.
- Use and support algorithmic trading tools under trader guidance.
- Act as a liaison between desk traders, brokers, and internal teams.
- Manage desk projects to improve operational processes and technology.
Experience and Qualifications
- Background or coursework in finance/investments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of equities, futures, and equity derivatives.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized in a fast-moving environment.
- Proactive in identifying and solving issues, with a focus on innovation.
- Familiarity with VBA, Python, and SQL is a strong advantage.
