Middle Office Account Manager
Position Overview:
The Middle Office team is part of the Asset & Fund Services division, supporting various asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange (FX), Cash, Listed Derivatives, OTC, and Reconciliations. The team ensures clients receive high-quality services, handling daily operations, query management, issue resolution, client changes, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management:
- Supports key processes like trade processing for Equities, Fixed Income, Matching and Settlements, Repos, Secured Loans, Collateral Management, FX, Money Markets, Cash Processing, Trade Support, Exchange Traded Derivatives, and Transitions.
- Corporate Action:
- Manages voluntary and mandatory corporate action events.
- OTC Derivatives:
- Handles trade and life-cycle event processing, cashflow management, third-party custodian trade instructions, valuations, regulatory reporting, and reconciliations.
- Operational Execution:
- Provides trade matching support, resolves disputes, manages OTC cash (including diarize, cash settlement, cash pooling service), notifies external custodians of OTC trades, completes key client reconciliations, manages new account setups, supports client changes, and implements operational efficiency initiatives.
- Client Service:
- Manages client and third-party queries, builds strong relationships with internal and external partners, maintains client action logs, escalates issues appropriately, delivers client incident reports, and provides client reporting.
- Oversight of Outsourced Functions:
- Participates in daily check-ins, reviews operating incidents, tracks reconciliation breaks, participates in service review meetings, and periodically reviews SLAs, procedures, and BCP plans.
- Risk Management:
- Adheres to the risk and control framework, manages operating incidents, completes audits and control self-assessments, and maintains contingency plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in commerce or finance.
- 7+ years of experience in Securities Services.
- Knowledge of fixed income, equities, FX, cash markets, corporate actions, and derivatives.
- Solid understanding of outsource Middle Office services
- Familiarity with TradeFlow, Hi-Portfolio, Calypso, IntelliMatch, MS Word, and Excel.
