Financial Controller

Join rapidly growing Australian business is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.

This dynamic company has successfully transitioned from its startup phase to a scalable, high-growth business with a $30 million turnover. While no longer in its infancy, it's still in an exciting phase of expansion and growing global operations.

You will be responsible for the financial operations ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and finance management.

This role is the ideal opportunity for someone from a small-medium sized/start-up background who enjoys process improvements and financial management.

Duties:

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including management accounts and analysis
  • Prepare Balance Sheets and Cash Flow statements in alignment with the Group's Financial Reporting
  • Drive ongoing improvement of business KPIs through Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Forecasting
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team (both onshore and offshore), overseeing daily financial operations, including month-end closings, accounts receivable/payable, payroll review, and compliance
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Supervise and manage local statutory audits and tax filings for international entities, ensuring timely submissions and compliance across all regions.
  • Develop and enhance the Group's financial reporting in preparation for submitting audited financial statements
  • Drive process improvement

Skills:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Big 4/Second Tier training combined with commercial experience will be beneficial
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a hands-on Finance Manager/Controller role
  • Preference will be give to candidates who has experience in managing overseas entities
  • Experience in working in a start-up environment will be highly regarded
