Financial Accountant

Job description

The Financial Accountant ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports month-end and year-end processes. Responsibilities include managing fixed assets, reconciliations, treasury functions, and lease accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial records, assist in statement preparation, ensure tax compliance, support audits, and manage transfer pricing.
  • Update asset register, process transactions, record depreciation, and reconcile balances.
  • Handle journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and assist with forecasting and budgeting.
  • Reconcile invoices and payments, monitor FX rates, and manage cash flow.
  • Maintain lease register, manage rental payments, and ensure compliance with AASB16.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CA/CPA or working towards certification.
  • 3+ years of financial accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (AASB16, IFRS), tax regulations (GST, FBT), and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle) and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in lease accounting, transfer pricing, and treasury management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
