The company is seeking a Finance Manager for a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the company's future growth.
In this position, you will lead the finance setup and governance for a new joint venture that is critical to the company's expansion. With a 5-year contract awarded to the business, you will be involved from the ground up-setting up joint venture accounting processes and transitioning the operation into a Business as usual (BAU) phase.
This is a hands-on role that offers the chance to shape the financial foundation of a key project with long-term impact.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong financial framework for the new business entity
- Implement systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance and audit readiness
- Establish revenue and margin recognition policies in line with accounting standards
- Deliver accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for strategic decision-making
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial performance reports, identifying risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with project teams to manage budgets, costs, and compliance
- Oversee financial controls for project governance, including claims and cost recovery
- Participate in project reviews to assess financial performance and risks
- Manage month-end, half-year, and year-end processes, ensuring accurate allocations
- Ensure compliance with taxation, legislative, and governance requirements (GST, tax audits, JV agreements)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for JV partners, external auditors, and stakeholders
- Partner with project managers, operations, and IT to optimize systems and improve efficiency
Skills And Qualifications
- CPA/CA/CIMA qualified
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager in a large infrastructure/construction business with proven experience working with different JV agreements essential
- Experience in working with different project teams and tracking financials for large scale projects.
- Strong communicator who can work with different project teams.
