The Client

Our client, a top tier ASX listed business in the property sector are seeking a highly skilled fund accountant to join their Sydney team due to an internal promotion. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for investment funds in the division. The Role

As the Fund Accountant you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and responsible for the following:

  • Deliver consistently high quality, accurate and timely monthly reporting
  • Preparation and sign off of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare quarterly BAS lodgement and yearly financial statements for a number of funds
  • Assist in the preparation of tax calculations to support quarterly distributions
  • Review unit pricing for a number of wholesale and retail funds
  • Preparation and review of interim and annual reports
  • Monitor monthly cash flows and investment
  • Monitor the liquidity and performance of funds
  • Collaborate with auditors
  • Identify improvement opportunities, make recommendations and assist in driving implementation of changes in processes and systems
  • Handle any ad hoc tasks and duties assigned by the manager


Qualifications and Skills:

  • CA/CPA Qualified or Part Qualified
  • Chartered background from a Big 4 or top 10 firm
  • Audit or business services experience
