Finance Systems Manager

Job description

Ambition are recruiting a 6 month contract role with a listed retail brand in Sydney. As the Finance Systems Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation, optimisation, and maintenance of our system Shopify. Shopify finance systems experience not a must have but will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a bridge between finance and IT in supporting the Shopify implementation and go live.
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify Shopify system requirements, design solutions, and drive process improvements from a finance back end perspective.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within financial systems through regular audits, controls, and data governance practices.
  • Oversee system integrations, upgrades, and enhancements while minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to finance and non-finance staff on the effective use of financial systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to financial systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Experience with working in finance systems or Shopify system would be highly advantageous
  • Proven experience in finance systems management, with a track record of successful system implementations and optimisations.
